DR CONGO

Over the last 3 years we’ve raised a significant amount of money. Every penny helps fund an initiative called The Mother’s Union which works in every province of DR Congo providing holistic care, skills training & seed funding for micro-enterprise.
The lives of women like Masika have been radically changed by The Mother’s Union. After fleeing her village because her granddaughter was raped by the rebels she has been residing in Beni as a refugee. The Mother’s Union has supported her, is teaching her to read and write and helping her create a bright future for her family. We’re proud to support their work on the ground in Congo.
We have people who support our work from all over the world. Either purchasing our merchandise or donating to our work directly.

During COVID we launched a Covid response initiative to help families living in the informal settlements in the Western Cape. The money raised provided food and care packages for mothers so they were able to provide for their babies.
